With the approval of the Board of Governors (Resolution No. BOG-96(2024)-10), NIT Rourkela has established the NITR Development Fund (NITR-DF) to strengthen the Institute’s research, innovation, and infrastructure ecosystem.

This initiative invites our 34,000+ global alumni network, corporate partners, and well-wishers to actively participate in shaping the next phase of NIT Rourkela’s growth.

Vision and Goal

The NITR-DF aims to raise ₹60 Crores to transform and modernize research and innovation infrastructure at NIT Rourkela.

Funds raised through NITR-DF will support:

• 1. Establishment of an Advanced Research Center
• 2. Departmental Research & Development Support
• 3. Bootstrapping New Research & Development Infrastructure
• 4. Seed Funding for Student-Led Startups at FTBI, NIT Rourkela
• 5. Sustainability Initiatives of NIT Rourkela
