Shri Ranjan Nayak

After completing his graduation in 1992, Shri Ranjan Nayak joined the industry and played strategic roles at Aditya Birla Group, Tata Steel, and Accenture, consistently driving innovation and growth. He completed his Executive MBA in Strategy and Finance from XIM Bhubaneswar in 2008. Joining JSW Steel in 2011, he rose to become Chief Operating Officer (Mining) in October 2021, playing a pivotal role in land acquisition, policy advocacy, and execution of India’s largest steel plant in Odisha. He was the Executive Vice President & Head - Corporate Strategy From April 2022 to June 2025. In July 2025, he was appointed CEO of JSW Motors, where he now leads the group’s foray into New Energy Vehicles, particularly electric passenger cars. He has contributed significantly in taking JSW Group to the next level of growth & excellence Renowned for his expertise in conceptualizing, strategizing and executing new ventures, Shri Nayak has shaped strategic partnerships, especially in China, across automotive, energy storage, and renewables. His leadership was instrumental in the JSW–SAIC joint venture for MG Motor India and in securing India’s first state-backed EV manufacturing incentives. He is also keenly involved in different activities of NIT Rourkela supporting internship, placement and other academic and professional activities. Shri Ranjan Nayak has been presented with several awards and honours, notable among them being Kalinga Safety Award (Gold) at the National Safety Conclave, JSW steel Limited conferred with Mining Safety Awards in the 58th Annual Mine Safety week-2020, Best Productivity Excellence Award by Odisha State Productivity Council, FICCI Chairman Odisha Chapter Recognition by IWEC (ICC), FICCI FLO for promoting Women Entrepreneurs in the MSME & Start up segment.
